Residents of Ex-Kampung Bayam Agree to Be Relocated to Nagrak Flats

Residents of ex-Kampung Bayam who lived in tents in front of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) area, finally agreed to the offer from the North Jakarta administration to be relocated to the Nagrak Flats, Cilincing, Tuesday (9/26). Starting today, they will pack up and are ready to move in.

We agreed after there was a guarantee of transportation facilities for school children

Papanggo Urban Village Head, Tomi Haryono said his party was ready to assist in the process of moving 19 families of ex-Kampung Bayam to Nagrak Flats, Cilincing. They would be placed in Block C on the 12th and 13th floors which have been prepared by the UPRS Region III of the Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Agency.

"After they move in, it will be continued with the process of arranging the sidewalks at the location," he said.

451 Families of Marunda Flat will Be Relocated to Nagrak flat

Municipal Poor People's Network (JRMK) Coordinator, Mirnawati added all this time, they had tried independently to find a residential unit in the flat but could not. They finally agreed to the relocation offer, as the school children would be provided with transportation facilities from the Nagrak Flats to the JIS area.

"We agreed after there was a guarantee of transportation facilities for school children and there was a temporary agreement that they would be left in the Nagrak Flats," he uttered.
